Shirley Ann (Brooks) Holder

Shirley Ann Holder of Huntsville, a devoted wife and mother, passed away on Monday.  She was 85.

Mrs. Holder had retired from PPG after 24 years of service.   She enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Dewey Holder.  her parents, John W. & Sally Ann Brooks;  her sister, Glenda Majors.

Surviving family members include her sons and daughters-in-law:  Ronald Joe & Penny S. Holder and Terry & Vonna Holder;  her grandchildren:  Jennifer Penney, Bobby Holder, Ashley Padgett, and Kelsey Beauvais;  Eight great-grandchildren;  her sister, Doyce Blackburn; she also has several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5pm until 7pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 3:30pm at the funeral home with burial following in Taylor Cemetery .
