Steve Tucker, 48, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on Thursday morning at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a family man, a great husband, father, provider and friend. He loved spending time with his wife and son, telling stories, making people laugh, and loved spending time restoring vehicles. He had a big heart, loved to help others, and he lived life to the fullest. In his son's word, he was one hell of a man.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Ralph Tucker, his fathers-in-law, Jack Bassler and Roy Romero.
Surviving family members include his wife of 28 years, Liz Tucker; His son, Cody Tucker; His mother, Norma Tucker; His brother, Phillip Tucker; His mother-in-law, Lucille Romero; His brothers-in-law, Michael (Denise) Bassler and Floyd (Allison) Bassler; His nephews, Michael Bassler Jr., Conner Bassler, Colton Bassler, Cameron Bassler, Carson Bassler, Deacon Bassler, John Seay, and Carter Seay; His nieces, Ashton Bassler and Abigail Bassler;
A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Mark Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.
