Tammy Sue Cantrell Sanders, 48, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Saturday.

She was 1988 graduate of Madison Academy where she enjoyed participating in basketball, softball, and volleyball.  Tammy had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed family vacations and being outside.  She was an active part of the Shiloh Church of Christ where she taught children, ladies, and was a great influence in the lives of everyone she met.  She was the epitome of a virtuous woman - honest, of high integrity, and devoted to the Lord and to all of her family and loved with her whole heart, and her heart had no limit.  Her father, mother, brother, sister, husband, children and other family members have been greatly blessed to have been in her presence and will continue to follow her example.

She was a dental hygienist for over 25 years and worked with Dr. Jennifer Perkins and staff.  Her home was always full of kids who considered her a second mom and she loved every minute of it. They never left hungry and always had a place to sleep.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, the love of her life, David Sanders; Her daughter, Makenzie Rae Sanders;  Her son, Chase Sanders; Her parents, Billy & Peggy Cantrell;  Her sister, Stacy Freeman and her husband, Sam; Her brother, Jonathan Cantrell and his wife, Britta;  Her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don & Carol Sanders; Her sister-in-law, Melissa Adams and her husband, Jerry; Her three nieces: Sydney Freeman, Addison Cantrell, and Harper Cantrell;  Her nephew, Joshua Adams.  She is also survived by many other family members and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Raymond & Mildred Maples, and William "Junior" & Catherine "Kate" Cantrell.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 8pm at Plainview Church of Christ in Hazel Green.  A celebration of her life will be Friday at Noon at the church with Justin Gerhardt officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens in Meridianville.
