Velma (Shockley) Patrick

Mrs. Velma Shockley Patrick, 87, of New Market, passed away on Monday.  She was a Christian and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and was known as "Ma" by her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Patrick, Sr.

Surviving family members include her two sons, Charles Allen (Evangeline) Patrick Jr. and Steve Brian (Tammy Thompson) Patrick; her grandchildren, Jamie (Charity) Quick, Brandy Layne; Her great-grandchildren: Kayleigh Grace Fanning, Jamie Lynn Quick, and Ariel Fanning.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 1pm at Pleasant HIll Cemetery with Bro. Milton Martin officiating.  There will not be a public visitation time.
