Virginia Ann Hale Profile Photo

Virginia Ann Hale departed our presence the morning of June 16, 2023.

She was born in Hastings Nebraska on August 14, 1929.  One of three daughters of Elta and Lloyd Shively.  Virginia grew up in Hastings and Mill River Massachusetts where she met and married Alfred Fehn.  Alfred had two children previously, Yvonne and Fred.  Virginia and Alfred had two boys, Robert and Paul.

Virginia moved to Florida with Robert and Paul and lived in the Venice/Nokomis area for over 50 years.  She prospered as a business owner in the field of interior decorating but also enjoyed bookkeeping for various businesses. She also served as a legal assistant to an attorney in Sarasota Florida.

Ginny, as many would call her, enjoyed streets with overhanging trees, horseback riding, singing (mostly for the church choir) and time with family.

Ginny worked hard to provide for her two sons.  She was kind and intelligent with a great deal of compassion for people and animals and always with a kind word for those fortunate enough to know her.

Virginia always had a kind and adventurous spirit.  Later in life that led her to meet and marry Orland Hale.  The two of them loved to travel in their small motorhome and go camping everywhere they could.  Her love of animals prevailed as she always had a dog and a cat or two.

Many knew Virginia as the hard working, selfless, caring, compassionate, determined, creative and diligent friend.  But only a few very fortunate people knew her as "Mom".

Virginia is survived by her youngest son Paul & his wife Sharon with gradsons Ala, and Nicholas, also by her oldest son Robert & his wife Patricia.  We love you.  Rest in peace.

Hazel Green Funeral Home was honored to serve the family.
