Virginia Roden

Funeral services for Virginia Fay Fanning Roden age 88 of New Market, Alabama will be conducted Friday 1PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Winfred Stayton officiating and burial will follow in Miller Cemetery.

Mrs. Roden passed away Tuesday in Huntsville. She was a native of Madison County and a long time member of Gum Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Ray Fanning and Annie Mae Fanning; Her husband, Solon Roden Jr., one brother, Jonah Fanning, three sisters, Sadie Reid, Nelta Gwathney and Evelyn Pitcock.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry and William Sharp, one son, Travis and Tonya Roden, her grandchildren, Keith Sharp, Chad Sharp, Shelley Rae Roden, and Courtney Marie Thompson; her special daughter, Geneva Roden; her great grandchildren, Taylor, Rylie, Brianna, Jordin, Colton and Ryder.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening 5-8PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home
