Walter Goodwin

Mr. Walter Goodwin, 86, of Hazel Green, passed away on Saturday.  He had retired from Allied Supply after more than 45 years of service.  He was a Christian and a faithful part of Hazel Green's First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxie Moss Goodwin;
HIs brothers: J.B. Goodwin, Melvin Goodwin, Charles Goodwin, Rob Goodwin, Rube Goodwin, and Parker Goodwin.
His sisters: Hazel Thomas, Ozell Hardiman, and Mildred Moore.
His parents:  Johnny & Emma Goodwin

Surviving family members include his sons and daughters-in-law:  Mark & Connie Goodwin;  Brian Goodwin;  Greg & Beth Goodwin;  His grandchildren:  Parker Goodwin, Emma Goodwin, and Bentley Goodwin.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, his brothers-in-law, Doug Moss, Rex Moss, and George Moss, and by his sisters-in-law, Jean Ratley, Evelyn Huggins, Karen Gipson, Donna Hartman. and Katie Mae Goodwin.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday beginning at Noon at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 2 at the funeral home with Dr. Tommy Bolan officiating.  Burial will be in New Sharon Cemetery.
