Mrs. Wendell BlandSeptember 8, 1924 ~ May 13, 2009Mrs. Wendell Bland, age 84, of the Walnut Grove community, died Wednesday morning at her residence. She was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ and retired from the Huntsville Hospital where she worked as a nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Bland.She is survived by her 5 daughters: Peggy & James Fenn, Patsy and C.A. Phillips, Sandy & Wayne Bobo, Joan and Buddy Eliff, and Teresa and Dan Jones; 1 Brother: Mack Williamson; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 6 until 9pm at the Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1pm at the funeral home with Bro. Bill Cantrell, Bro. Bill Phillips, and Bro. Tim Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Stateline Cemetery.
