William Earl Hopkins

Mr. William Earl Hopkins, 87, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday while at home surrounded by his family.

He had worked for The Huntsville News and for Madison County Commission District Four until his retirement.   He was a Christian and attended Hurricane Grove Baptist Church in New Market.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Hopkins.  His daughter, Donna Carol Hopkins; His grandson, Anthony Hopkins;  His parents, Elmer & Bonnie Hopkins. His brother, Howard Hopkins.

Surviving family members include his children:  Debbie (Ray) Pitts,  Jeff Hopkins, Jack (Brenda) Hopkins, and Jimmy Hopkins;  13 Grandchildren; 18 Great-grandchildren; 5 Great-great grandchildren.  His sister, Mary Jo Shockley;  His brother, Donald Ray Hopkins.

The family will receive friends on Monday at 11am at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Ben Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow the service and will be in Cochran Cemetery in New Market.
