William Daniel Lyle I, "Pops" or "Billy", age 78, of Hazel Green, Al, passed away at Huntsville Hospital on Friday, February 18, 2022
William was born in Huntsville, Alabama to Velda Lyle and Clarence Lyle, on August 31, 1943. He went to Butler High School. He retired in 2000. He enjoyed driving his old truck around, visiting his friends and family. He loved eating at Greasy Spoon and Cracker Barrel. The thing he loved most was spending time with his son and daughter-in-law, traveling to new places.
William is survived by his son, Christopher Shaun Lyle & daughter-in-law, Darla Mae Lyle; grandson: William Daniel Lyle III; granddaughters: Kaylyn Brenlee Lyle, and Katelyn Brooke Wood; bonus grandsons: Tyler & Jake Wallace; Dylan & Abel Grubb; along with 17 nieces and nephews.
He is peceded in death by his late wife, Brenda Sue Lyle, his son: William Daniel Lyle II; his parents, Velda & Clarence Lyle; sisters: Linda Sandavoss & Willodene Smithey Lyle; brother: Coy Wayne Lyle.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 22, from 6-8 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 23, at 1:00 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home with interment at Huntsville Memory Gardens in the Apostle Garden.
