Rev William Kenneth UnderwoodSeptember 10, 1940 ~ March 20, 2008Former pastor of Elkwood Holiness Church, Reverend William Kenneth Underwood, 68, of Hazel Green, went to be with Our Lord Friday afternoon. He was preceded in death by two sons, William Kenneth "Ken" Underwood, Jr., and Jeffery Frank Underwood; one brother, Charles V. Underwood and parents Virgil "Chunk" and Thelma Underwood.He is survived by wife, Annette Nunley Underwood; two sons, Don Underwood and Leigh Jackson; and Brian Underwood and wife Lisa; six grandchildren, Halley and Josh Caldwell; Jeffery, Lyndon, Dylon, Kaleb and Kelsey Underwood and Cheyenne Jackson; mother-in-law, Annie Whitt; one brother, Johnny and Frances Underwood; two sisters, Midge and Troy Walls; Delores and Arlyn Brown; sister-in-law, Nona Underwood and numerous nieces and nephews. Rev. Underwood will lie in repose from 11 a.m. to start of service at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Toney Holiness Church. Rev. J.B. Pritchett, Rev. David Kittrell and Rev. Ollie Taylor, Jr. will be officiating. Burial will follow at Underwood Cemetery in New Market. Hazel Green Funeral Home is assisting the family.
