Wilma Mcfarlen Hodge
July 29, 1923 — March 29, 2016
Wilma McFarlen Hodge, age 92, of New Market, Alabama, passed away Tuesday morning. She was born in and lived in Madison County for her entire life. She was a member of the Church of Christ from an early age and attended the Union Grove Church of Christ for over 60 years.
Mrs. Hodge was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, cooking, and working outside in her flowers and garden. She was always ready to help others in any way she could.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey A. Hodge; Her parents, Russell McFarlen and Nora Atchley McFarlen; Her brothers, Herman McFarlen, Howard McFarlen, and Zeb McFarlen, and sisters, Lucille Andrews and Mary McFarlen.
She is survived by her son, Shannon Hodge, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:30am until 1:30pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2pm at Taylor Cemetery with Bro. Bill Phillips officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or AGAPE of North Alabama.
