Wilma Payne

Wilma Y. Payne, age 84, of Hammond, IN, formerly of Hazel Green, AL passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017. She is survived by her brother, Jerry (Sharon) Payne; sister in law, Ethel Payne; niece, Christa Cook; six nephews: Donald W. Payne Jr., Thomas Payne, Michael Payne, Kelly (Kathy) Payne, Jerry K. (Kristina) Payne and Joe (Susan) Payne; fourteen great nieces and nephews; and three great great nieces. Friends are invited to meet with the family Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Wilma was a long-time member of the Church of Christ in Hammond, IN. She retired from Inland Steel with 30 years of service and enjoyed ceramics and bowling. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wilma’s loving memory to Harbor Light Hospice in Mishawaka, IN.
