Earl Lasater

Mr. Earl Lasater, 82, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday.

Mr. Lasater had retired from Martin Stove Company and worked for a number of years at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  He was a Christian and a member of Bevill’s Chapel Baptist Church for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Gladys Lasater, by his daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Lynn & Billy Harris, and by his brother and sister-in-law, Vernon & Dorothy Lasater.

Surviving family members include his wife, Ovie Wilson Lasater;  His grandchildren:  Cassie & Colin Jenkins,  and Dustin & Geriann Harris;  His great-grandchildren Chloe & Colton Jenkins;  His sister, Evelyn Forbus, and by a host of loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.   Funeral services will be Friday at 10am at Bevill’s Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Benny Berry officiating.   The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Bevill’s Cemetery.
