Mr Fred Martin Shasteen Sr
January 31, 1948 — December 4, 2013
Mr. Fred Martin Shasteen, 65, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday at a local hospital.
Mr. Shasteen had retired after 33 years of service from Dunlop Tire Corporation. He had previously served honorably in the United States Army.
He was an avid University of Alabama football fan. Roll Tide!
Mr. Shasteen was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Shasteen and Ruth Shelton Shasteen; His sister: Doris Hughes, and his brother, James S. Shasteen; His son: Fred Martin Shasteen Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret Berry Shasteen; His daughter, Tammy Lamb; His son, Thomas Shasteen; His granddaughter, Tiffany Smith and husband, Ed Smith; His Granddaughter, Taylor Shasteen. His Great-grandson, Kaden Lamb and great-granddaughter, Aliyah Smith; His sister, Anita Lee Miller and husband, Jerry Miller.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Pastor Randall McKelvey officiating. Burial will follow in Taylor Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at Noon.
