Rebecca Jean Laten Moore, age 58, received her angel wings on October 11, 2013. She was born on March 17, 1955; the oldest daughter of nine children. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, and the best mom in the world. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, working puzzles, and reading. She also enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping and fishing. Rebecca loved country music, she loved to sing and dance.
She is survived by her mother, Ruby Jean Laten, four daughters, Karron Laten, Mary Ann McCutcheon, Tabitha Mobley, and "Her Baby Girl" Regina Golden. She is also survived by her son, Jimmy Smith; her grandchildren: Anna, J.T., Zack, Montana, Justin, and Rhiannon; and three great-grandchildren: Adyson, Bentley, and Aaliyah; her 5 brothers: Benny, Dennis, Tony, Phillip, and Chris; and her sisters: Connie and Darlene.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 17, at Four O'Clock in the Afternoon at Ragsdale Cemetery in Gurley, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Donald Shannon, Little Phillip Laten, Little Dennis Laten, and JT Hargrove.
