Skylar Moss was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend. She passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the age of 20.
Skylar is survived by her mother and step-father Andrea and Jesse Poteete; her father Jason Moss; grandparents Cindy and Greg Adcock; step-grandparents Carol and Randy Poteete; and brothers Eric Stacey, Jaeden, Noah, Austin, and Christian Poteete, and Killian Moss; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Gene and Patsy Speakes, her grandfather David Wayne Moss, her aunt Maria Champion, and her uncle David Moss. She was also preceded by her beloved dog, Zascha.
Skylar was a creative and compassionate young woman who loved deeply. Her sarcasm, quick wit, and kind heart made her a joy to be around. Her bright smile and warm spirit lit up any room. She enjoyed art, music, and spending time with family and friends. She was not afraid to be herself. Skylar was bold and brave and lived life to the fullest.
When you think of Skylar, celebrate the good memories you have of her. She would want you to remember to love yourself, love deeply, and live loud. Skylar will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Cothren officiating. Burial will follow and will be in Maple Hill Cemetery
