Craig is a 1997 graduate of Hazel Green High School and a 2008 graduate of Jefferson State Community College where he earned a degree in Funeral Service Education. He is a licensed embalmer in Alabama, funeral director in both Alabama and Tennessee, life and health insurance agent, a member of the Alabama Funeral Director's Association, and holds the Certified Funeral Service Practitioner designation. He served one term as coroner of Madison County from 2011 until 2015 and chose not to seek reelection.


He and his wife Laura are Christians and of the Baptist faith.

Don is a graduate of Buckhorn High School and has been in funeral service for over forty years. He is part of the Park City Holiness Church where he and his late wife of almost 46 years, Yvonne, were faithfully involved.


While mostly retired, Don maintains his status as a licensed funeral director, licensed insurance agent, and serves families as needed.

Randy is a native of Lynchburg, Tennessee and has been in the funeral industry for twenty years. He joined the Hazel Green Funeral Home family in 2015.  He is a licensed cremationist and is always ready and willing to assist the families we serve.

Paul assists our families during funeral services and visitations as well as with advance funeral and cremation planning.


He and his wife, Pam, are residents of Toney and are part of Murphy Hill Baptist Church.

Terry Majors serves as an Advance Planning Counselor by assisting families with preplanning funerals and is a licensed insurance agent in the state of Alabama.  He and his wife attend the Gurley Holiness Church.

Susan serves families at our reception area and is currently an apprentice funeral director.   She and her husband, Cliff Payne, reside in Fayetteville, Tennessee.  She is a graduate of Lincoln County High School and of Jefferson State Community College where she received her certificate in funeral directing in 2024.

Dale was born on January 23, 2017 in Kentucky and joined our staff on July 19, 2017.  She is a registered Golden Labradoodle and is a registered AKC Good Citizen.   She is hypoallergenic,loves to be petted, and is excellent at comforting those who need her.  


She is available to serve our families at no charge on request. 


Her current hobbies include sleeping and running laps in the back yard.

Roy loves everyone, enjoys being petted, and is always happy to show love to those who need him.  


He was born on November 4, 2018 in Owenton, Kentucky.  He is featured in the book, Super Roy: The Comfort Dog available at Amazon.com or at the funeral home.

Logan is a 2023 graduate of Hazel Green High School.   He began working at Hazel Green Funeral Home as a 16 year-old student, participating in the high school's co-op program.


He is a sophomore at Calhoun Community College where he serves as president of the Warhawk Ambassadors and currently plans to pursue a degree in criminal justice.

Laura serves as our business office manager.  She assists families by filing life insurance claims, oversees death certificate filing, and is a licensed funeral director.   She holds a master's degree in human resource management and is a certified funeral service practitioner.


She and her husband, Craig, have one son, Jake, who teaches and serves as band director in our local public schools.

Don is a life-long resident of the Hazel Green Community. He and his wife, Deanne, are members of the First Baptist Church of Hazel Green.   He loves the people of the community and enjoys serving families at the funeral home.

Pastor Benny Berry serves families during visitations and assists with funerals.  He also serves as a funeral home chaplain and is always available to assist families who need a minister.


He and his wife, Regina, are members of Bevill's Chapel Baptist Church where he has been Pastor for over 35 years.

Alex is a 2024 graduate of Hazel Green High School and plans to begin mortuary school soon.  He serves families and assists our funeral directors.


He is a gifted musician and is a part of the Meridianville Church of Christ.

Rowan Gafford is a senior at Riverside Christian Academy in Fayetteville.   She has been part of our funeral home family since she was 14, and, along with her sister, Morgan, has provided care and support for our comfort dogs, Dale and Roy.


Rowan is an accomplished artist.  Her illustrations are featured in the book, SUPER ROY: THE COMFORT DOG.


Rowan is the daughter of Dr. Chris Gafford and Dr. Stephanie Gafford.
